JAKUB PLANKA

Jakub is the founder and lead cinematographer and editor of MOVARA. Jakub's camera of choice is the Sony FX3, but he’s just as comfortable shooting action with an Insta360 or piloting a drone. In post-production, his signature style is all about dynamic editing, building momentum, and creative sound design. He has been working as a sound engineer at the Moravian Theatre for almost 20 years. Sound and dynamics are his strongest fields — he knows how to use sound to turn even an ordinary project into something truly memorable. His background in theatre also shapes the way he approaches visual storytelling. Over the years, he has built strong connections with actors, voice-over artists, dancers and screenwriters. Jakub enjoys working on projects with energy, pace, and plenty of room for creative post-production. He is especially drawn to dynamic videos where he can fully explore editing, color grading, and sound design. His favorite subjects are sports, commercials, and cinematic artistic spots that combine movement, atmosphere, and visual storytelling.

In his free time, he creates travel documentaries, blending observations of places, people, and everyday life with a cinematic approach to image and sound.
